Chicken: the ideal meat to keep in shape

Chicken meat is part of the large white meat family. It contains only 1% fat and for this reason it can be defined as an ideal food for athletes or for those who follow a diet low in calories. Thanks to the peculiar size of the muscle fibers, it is very digestible and chewable, so it is also ideal for children. Chicken has a delicate flavor and lends itself well to creating various recipes with different ingredients.
This white meat can be cooked in different ways: roasted, on a spit, on the grill, or even stuffed.

Chicken is also a popular meat abroad, in fact in China it is usually cut into small pieces and then cooked in a pan with sugar, salt, oriental spices and vegetables, a delight!
In Brazil, on the other hand, chicken meat is prepared by cooking it with coconut milk, peanuts, shrimp tails and chilli pepper.
Finally, in India, chicken is marinated for 6 hours with yogurt and garlic and then cooked in the characteristic Tandoor clay oven.

Turkey: origins and history

The turkey comes from North America and brings with it a very interesting story. This animal seems to have been brought to the old continent by Christopher Columbus himself. In fact, the French nicknamed it “Coq d'Inde”, in honor of the lands considered by Columbus to be the West Indies.

Turkey is much more than a simple type of meat, in fact, for Americans it represents a real tradition. We are talking about the renowned traditional American “Tanksgiving Day” food, a tasty and delicious meat.
The taste of this white meat is very delicate and has a low percentage of fat only in the skin, so it is easily eliminated. As with chicken, the recipes with turkey are as delicious as roasted turkey, turkey rolls or turkey skewers.

Chicken breast recipes: simple and tasty

What are the chicken breast recipes? There are so many of them and they are all very good. Since chicken is a very light meat, the ideal would be to maintain a delicate line or not to overdo it with the seasonings.
One of the tastiest and healthiest chicken breast recipes is precisely the chicken cut with arugula cream and Grana Padano. It is a simple and quick dish to prepare but at the same time healthy and light. You can cook the chicken breast on the grill or in a cast iron griddle, in order to create a crispy outer crust. As for arugula, on the other hand, it will be enough to chop it in a mixer together with some Grana Padano flakes. A real treat!

Another of the chicken breast recipes is stuffed chicken with speck and fontina cheese. It's a really tasty and simple second course to create. Speck can be replaced with any other cold cuts or vegetables, but the result will be delicious!

Finally, another of the chicken breast recipes is flaxseed chicken breast with potato cream, a healthy and nutritious dish. In fact, flaxseeds are rich in omega 3 and 6 and mineral salts, ideal for our body's well-being. Creamed potatoes, on the other hand, are excellent as a condiment, especially if seasoned with pepper and aromatic herbs.

Chicken curry: history and recipe

Chicken curry seems to be a dish of Indian origin, although some believe that it comes from Glasgow, a city in Scotland. Another interesting fact lies precisely in the curry used: British curry is often used in England, while Indian curry is used in India, with a different spiciness.
The recipe for chicken breast curry is very simple and is a hearty single dish. Chicken meat is very lean and digestible, in addition, chicken curry is cooked in stew, so it is recommended to cut it into cubes.

Let's see the steps of the chicken curry recipe: cut the chicken into cubes and in a bowl mix some flour with curry and finally add the chicken to flour it.
After that, pour some oil into a pan and let it heat up, then pour in the floured chicken curry. Let it brown for a few minutes and then transfer it to a plate and keep it warm. In the same pan, sauté the shallots with a few pieces of chilli and then add the chicken again. Mix the ingredients and blend with broth.
Finally, recover the flour and curry (previously used to flour the chicken) by adding cold water. Then use it to drizzle the chicken before completing cooking.
You can finally enjoy a delicious chicken curry and for spicy lovers, add fresh chilli pepper.

Turkey rump: origins and preparation

The turkey rump is produced by processing the previously boned and cleaned turkey breast muscles.
The meat is then softened and seasoned with a mix of salt and spices and is finally cooked in the oven.
It is then subjected to a long cooking in the oven for 6 and 8 hours, at a temperature of about 70°. Once the cooking is finished, it moves on to the finishing phase: it is smoked while hot or a caramelization process is carried out.
Turkey rump is a very nutritious and light food, in fact it is highly recommended for those who follow a healthy and balanced diet. This type of meat is also gluten-free and is processed and raised in Italy.

Turkey recipes: here are some quick recipes

Recipes with turkey rump are mostly about second courses. Among the tastiest dishes we have roasted turkey with potatoes, rump rolls with turkey with parsley, turkey escalopes with lemon and turkey rump skewers

.

One of the tastiest turkey recipes is the turkey rump stuffed with spinach and pistachios.
First you will need to wash the spinach and cook it in a pot with a closed lid for about ten minutes. Then, sauté them in a pan with garlic to give a strong flavor.

Then let's move on to the processing of the meat: the turkey breast must be cut and opened in a pocket to facilitate filling. Then place the spinach and pistachio grains on the meat and finally add slices of mortadella. Once the filling is complete, you can close the rump like a book and tie it with food twine (if necessary, help yourself with toothpicks).
All that remains is to cook and brown the meat in a pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Turn it constantly so that it cooks all sides and finally, deglaze it with liqueur wine or white wine. Once cooking is finished, you can cut the stuffed turkey breast and serve it with baked potatoes.
