Giannelli cured meats. Welcome to the flavors of Puglia!

New entry of high quality in the Italian taste portal. Aroma of Puglia. Yes, the longest region in Italy that alternates stories, traditions, cultures of friendly and sometimes rival peoples. Arabic and Slavic blends, Mediterranean sea culture and Italic roots of the inland. Puglia, now become one of the main attractions for international tourism, has been able to enhance the cuisine of the sea and land effectively while remaining always linked to the strength of tradition. In one of the oldest cities in the region, Troia, in the province of Foggia, the story of the renowned macelleria e salumeria Giannelli was born, six generations ago. A family that has made the art of "norcina" meat processing its excellence, stretching back into the mists of time. Today this important Puglian reality is represented by Raffaele Giannelli.

Why did we choose the Giannelli salumificio?

The strong interpretation of the territory and tradition from that part of the inland Puglia. Giannelli's roots delve into the norcina history of the Dauni, pre-Apennine peoples, alternating Byzantine and Bourbon traditions. Giannelli picks up that history and faithfully brings it back in the use of meats and spices, with ancient preservation methods.
Total management of the production chain. The animals come from the Roccia di Ariano Irpino farm on the Avellino Apennines. Animals are fed only with forages of their own production and in a free-range regime.

Do the cured meats contain nitrates?

NO TO PRESERVATIVES AND ADDITIVES. Giannelli’s cured meats are pure, like those of the old days. They use ancient techniques to safeguard the product, such as vincotto, honey, etc... here, there are no nitrates or other harmful additives. Only natural products that come from human wisdom over the centuries.

Okay history, tradition, health... but will they be good too??
Giannelli has made quality its mission. Their products are now highly sought after and have recently entered national competitions where they have already achieved great results. In 2014, it was awarded as the best Puglian salumificio and among the top 20 in Italy, at the Italian salami championship.

Are the salami suitable for celiacs and intolerants?

All the products here in the portal are GLUTEN-FREE AND LACTOSE-FREE.

Why do we reserve them?
The cured meats will be shipped directly from the aging caves of the Giannelli family in Troia. Therefore, fresh and free from any aging mold. A meticulous preparation, useful to ensure you the utmost quality. In 24 hours from Puglia to your tables!
