Expo 2015: In search of lost food.

We are all worried whether the works for Expo will be finished on time… with everything that has happened, it is indeed a plausible state of mind. Yet, this shouldn't be our fear. In the end, as in the case of the Olympics in China or the World Cup in Brazil, everything will be ready even if it's rushed.
What we should be concerned about instead is whether 6 months will be enough, and in what way, to convey the message of the Expo to all the women and men of the world, in addition to bringing new revenue and further publicizing the gastronomic excellences and wine products.

By the way, do you know the slogan for 2015?... try asking your friends or colleagues. Ask about the theme of Expo 2015. I tried it and got all kinds of responses.
The theme is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. A strong theme that must raise awareness in the world towards a new era of cohabitation among all living species on this Earth and, perhaps, even more so among us Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
The various clusters that will represent the different production districts and various categories of life and sustenance on the planet will speak of innovation, experimentation, future, hope, and life.

The risk is that we might lose sight of history, traditions, everything that is small and silent. The so-called “reserves” where small ancestral peasant realities endure through time and its challenges, keeping alive lands and crops that give rise to fine food products. Expo must not forget about them.

Feeding the Planet through the wisdom of those who live the land as a gift is pure energy for life. It is also our mission as Spaghetti & Mandolino.

In our small way, with humility and a lot of passion for those who cultivate the land by loving and respecting it, we are trying to seek and select for you the rarities of small territories (here we have gathered the rare cheeses), sometimes forgotten, of our dear Italy. Small “reserves” of goodness and tradition that will not see the lights of Expo but remain the pillars on which that positive energy will need to illuminate the world.
