Francesca De Leo Alberti is the owner, heir to a centuries-old family tradition in olive oil production in the region and beyond. Francesca inherited above all the love for the land and agriculture from her father Antonio De Leo.

Today, the company can count on the strength and creativity of a female entrepreneurial team: the owner, her daughter Giulia, who chose to follow the path of agriculture and the production of their Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and other collaborators. This functional team manages to best enhance all the resources offered by the territory in its full respect.

• Who are we talking to?
  I am Giulia, daughter of the Owner of the Company.
   
• Is the company family-run? In what year was the company founded and who was the founder?
  The company was founded in 1989 and has always been family-run. We have reached the fourth generation.
   
• Who was the founder and what was their education or what field of work and profession did they come from if different from the current one?
  My mother Francesca De Leo founded it with the production of Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Before her, there was my grandfather, but there were different ways of working and other productions like forestry.
   
• What is the true reason or triggering fact behind the birth of this company and when did it happen?
  Certainly the continuity in agriculture that, even with different methods, has characterized the generations before us.
   
• What is your relationship with the land of origin and its characteristics? And why do you want to tell its story with your products?
  It is a deep love, difficult to explain, for a land with many facets. After studying and working as a designer, without thinking about it, I decided to return and help my mother, and to this day I do not regret my choice.
   
• What was the first product you created?
  Our Oil.
   
• What is the "flagship" product that you consider as the most important today?
  Still the same, the Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
   
• And what is the product that has most carried the beating heart, philosophy, and soul of the company throughout its history?
  As above. In the oil, there is truly the soul of our company.
   
• Let's talk about today: how much has the company grown since its inception? Can we have some numbers?
  The hectares are currently the same. We added some young plants about 5 years ago, still of our local cultivar, the Ottobratica.
   
• At this moment: more tradition or more innovation?
  Both are extremely important factors in my view.
   
• What has been the most important evolution of the company to bring it to what it is today?
  Tenacity and patience. Evolution needs its time, and agriculture should not be revolutionized.
   
• Speaking of the future: what kind of tomorrow awaits the company? Is there any planned change or some new evolutionary process?
  We have projects involving another type of cultivation, but above all a project that will allow those who want to know us to come visit us and enjoy our land.
   
• Are you planning to create new products?
  Yes, they are in the planning phase.
   
• Having focused on Spaghetti & Mandolino, how important is online sales to you, what has your past relationship been with this sales channel, and how do you see it in the future?
  Online sales are essential today and will definitely be one of the channels that will continue to grow. But always maintaining a high quality standard.
   
• Value: what has it been, what is it today, and what will it be in the future for your company?
  Tradition and love for our land.
