Vinitaly Fair 2022: I arrived on Monday, with no traffic but with a long queue at the entrance, online yes, but not adequate.
I pay for the ticket... 105 Euros, I enter and the usual panic: who do I go to at 10 in the morning? New ones, should I jump into old acquaintances or go with the flow?
I choose a small list of Vintners that I don't know made a few days ago, I enter the Enolitech pavilion to keep updated on technological innovations.
From there, I finally enter the Piedmont pavilion and begin my long tour.
I find good ones geographically a bit everywhere, some big vintners with decent products, some small ones in their first experience with sincere wines to keep an eye on and if possible help them commercially, others with a presence but sadly only because they are included in the budget.
I find friends, agents, restaurateurs, and organizers all with one voice: finally, we meet despite the implanted "threats".
I leave in the evening and go to console myself as the cherry on top at "Il Giardino delle Esperidi" in Bardolino: sincere food full of passion just like the vast knowledge and hospitality of wine.
