Dear friends #winelover,
what is special about the native Italian grape variety Asprinio di Aversa? (There is only 1 correct answer)
The correct answer is "it grows high with the poplar".
The grape variety Asprinio, also known as Ragusano, is mainly found in Campania, in the areas of Caserta and Napoli. It is a white #autochthonous vine with its own roots that grows attached, “married to the poplars and mulberries reaching heights of 10/15 meters. Its harvest is still spectacular today, as it features the “spider men” collecting the grapes, balanced on very tall ladders.
From Asprinio grapes, a light wine with a moderate alcohol content and pronounced acidity is produced: it is also called “the sparkling wine from the south,” because it has a natural propensity for sparkling winemaking.
