A kiss among the sotoporteghi of Venice is priceless, and we wish you moments of joy and emotion during this time of the year that celebrates the beauty of love. We at Spaghetti & Mandolino cannot take you through the alleys and Venetian courtyards, but, playing a little with words, we can at least bring you the Flavors of the Portico!
We are talking about four rare cheeses, ideal for courting and letting go with closed eyes at the table, wrapped in a passion for taste. Four masterpieces prepared with great love by Giuseppe Bernardinelli and his wife for all those who don't put limits on emotions. Exotic, chocolatey, and seductive flavors: here is the right formula to not miss a sigh of pleasure at the table. Cheeses that make a mark with their creaminess, roundness, elegance of pairings, and unparalleled delight.
The names also help to bring smiles and a touch of happiness to your table and cutting board: Manghito, Zenzerito, Pistakkito, and Blu Dominik are gourmet compositions prepared with skill and care. It's not just a matter of goodness but also of beauty: a factor that Giuseppe Berardinelli, a great affineur from Valpolicella, leaves to the creativity and loving gestures of his wife.
And here is the Manghito, a creamy trilatte cheese made from cow, goat, and sheep milk, aged with mango and licorice, and left in a hermetically sealed glass container for a week. The alluring flavor of licorice and the intriguing exoticism of mango intoxicate the creamy texture of the little cheese with white flowers.
The Pistakkito, also a trilatte cheese made from cow, goat, and sheep milk, is coated with Pistachio from Bronte DOP and left hermetically sealed in a small glass jar for a week. It absorbs all the expressive power of the fruit from Etna and its exciting sensation of floral sweetness.
The Zenzerito, a small round creature. An extremely delicate and light cheese with a white flower crust, with a delicate creamy texture that has absorbed all the intriguing and exotic spice determined by ginger, red pepper, and the exciting contrast with lime. An intoxicating aroma that captivates right away.
And to finish, an extraordinary work of art conceived for those who want to go overboard with powerful emotions: the Blu Dominik. We recommend it to all those who don't believe that one can conquer and court with a simple cheese. Indeed, it is possible! This great blue cheese made from cow's milk is enriched with cream from the surface. This already gives you an idea of the creaminess and roundness of the texture. The cheese is then left to rest for a week, hermetically sealed in a glass jar with Ecuadorian cocoa beans and agricultural rum. At the end of its time in the jar, it is covered with a layer of cocoa powder from the same type as the beans. Can you imagine the pleasure and intriguing blend of flavors between sweet and salty that this cheese evokes? Chocolatey and salty, to be tasted by the spoonful as it is. To be savored slowly, with closed eyes, perhaps hand in hand, why not?
In short, it's true, making love with flavor is possible!
