Working in the research and development sector of a large food company, inventing and experimenting with new recipes, Riccardo had the opportunity to deepen his knowledge and create something new. His experience led him to approach organic farming and fair trade, and the new awareness that arose led to a change in thinking about food; volunteer trips to Kenya, India, and Sri Lanka, where he encountered new raw materials and characteristic flavors, also contributed to creating a new way of thinking for Riccardo: jars that contain expertise, curiosity, quality, genuineness, and a desire for a healthy world. I Vasetti di Riccardo also feature cashews, sourced also from fair trade from the San Francisco cooperative in Floresta, Guinea Bissau, imported to Italy by the Tabanka cooperative. The basil, the undisputed protagonist of pesto, comes from Liguria and from the friendship with the owner of the Anfossi Agricultural Company.
