Marte Formaggi was born from the intuition of Matteo Chiarappa, a second-generation entrepreneur after his father Francesco, who founded the company Fattorie Chiarappa Srl in the 1950s. This company became the activity of the entire Chiarappa family and had started, since the post-war period, to produce and trade fresh cheeses between Conversano and Bari; the intuition was simple, recognizing that the act of "branding" their dairy products with the brand Marte, known to the Apulian public and neighboring regions through advertising campaigns on their owned television channels, could bring significant benefits to their business.
 

MARTE FORMAGGI: APULIAN TRADITION IN THE WORLD

Since 1976, the company, passing into the hands of the children of Mr. Francesco Chiarappa, took the name Marte Formaggi Srl, thus experiencing a period of progressive growth both in marketing and production, expanding both the range of products offered to customers and the target market. After thirty years of experience, the company had already become a true reference point in the production and marketing of typical Apulian products such as ricotta Torretta.
