Tenuta Scorciabove is a trademark of the Società Agricola Apulia Verde di Lucera, in the land of Capitanata, or in the province of Foggia, l&' northern area of Puglia including the Gargano, the Dauni mountains and the Tavoliere delle Puglie. The protagonist of this story is the Rossi family, with an agricultural tradition for many generations, specialized in the cultivation of tomatoes. Today they are Raffaele, Chiara and Francesca, or the' the last generation, who together decided to run the family business and to combine tomato cultivation with its transformation into organic artisanal products

Scorciabove estate: from a Bedford to a &' company with more than 500 hectares of land

It all started in the Seventies, when tractors were plowing at night and there was no radio to keep company, only memories and dreams. The protagonist of the time was the grandfather who taught his children and then his grandchildren all the work that c&' he had to do, transmitting a lot of passion to them. Not c&' it was a real company, but a kind of traveling workshop, a Bedford, with which the family supported themselves. When c&' it was possible to take over &' Don Lello Petrilli's company and a land of 160 hectares then the dream became reality. So here is that the Apulia Verde Agricultural Society was founded in 2012 with the precise intention of basing its roots in the agricultural tradition

Just founded, the farm entered the world of organic farming and was certified by the ICEA institute, one of the most qualified consortia in the BIO sector in Italy and Europe. This is probably the first certification of the supply chain “from the ground to the table” that ensures the traceability of raw materials and the finished product, guaranteeing product quality and consumer protection.
Today the company covers 500 hectares and boasts a unique supply chain in tomato production.

The entire supply chain is a great advantage that few have. Thanks to the entire supply chain, we never lose sight of the punctuality of the raw material which, cured from the seed, manages to transfer the excellence of its qualities into a highly genuine product.
