The Eraldo Revelli Agricultural Company, located in the picturesque landscape of the Langhe hills in the southwestern part of Piedmont, represents an oasis of peace immersed in greenery. Positioned near Belvedere Langhe, just minutes from Dogliani, this estate benefits from a privileged territory and an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of Dolcetto and Barbera grape varieties, which here produce clusters of extraordinary quality.
Three Generations of Revelli
The history of the company unfolds through three generations of winemakers, with pride and passion reflected in the constant commitment to achieving ever-higher quality and excellent results. Founded in 1930 by Enrico Revelli, the current owner Eraldo was born in 1951 and, after completing his studies, decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and brother Secondino in the family business.
Despite the enormous effort required to modernize the company and the significant economic and emotional resources needed, Eraldo chose to follow his passion and trust in the land. In 1974, he joined Luisa, who, despite having no experience in vineyards, quickly learned the art of winemaking, becoming skilled and experienced like a true local. During these years of hard work, their first daughter was born. In 1980, Claudia arrived, who now represents the future of the company and generational change.
After completing her studies, Claudia decided to continue the family tradition and, starting from 2000, initiated a business relaunch plan that included replanting some vineyard areas, renovating the winery, and modernizing equipment. Thanks to her dedication and vision, the Eraldo Revelli Agricultural Company is projected towards a successful future, combining tradition and innovation.
The Dolcetto Wine
A special mention deserves the Dolcetto grape variety, whose link to the Dogliani area dates back centuries. The Dolcetto wine is mentioned in one of the Statutes of the Municipality of Dogliani dating back to 1500. It is said that the tradition of this wine dates back even to the year 1000. A significant event in the local agricultural calendar was the feast of San Matteo, which occurred on September 21 and marked the beginning of the grape harvest. On this occasion, a chapel dedicated to San Matteo was built right next to the oldest vineyard of the company, which gave its name to their best Dolcetto: the "San Matteo".
