The history of the Consorzio Latterie Virgilio began in Mantua in 1966.
In recent years, the consortium focused on the production of fresh butter and creams and became a &' excellence but slowly it began to go further towards aged cheeses.
Today, the consortium, made up of 70 associated dairies and more than 2000 contributing breeder members, with the Virgilio brand, is thinking about the commercialization of Grana Padano PDO and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP.
E&' l&' the only consortium where members confer both PDOs and the main mission is to bring to Italian tables a product of the highest quality, obtained with the most modern technologies while respecting tradition and guaranteed by a controlled and certified production.
