Azienda Agricola Ponte Vecchio: scopri i prodotti

Pianezze is a beautiful town located in the Monte Cesen district in the province of Treviso, a few kilometers from the Valdobbiadene area. The Ponte Vecchio Company manages Malga Mariech from which it obtains excellent cheese aged in ancient tuff cells. In addition, a new but very pleasant product like Piccolo Mariech with a unique lactic pleasure deriving from its freshness and medium aging.

The story of &' Azienda Agricola Ponte Vecchio begins at an old mill located near the bridge that, crossing the Piave, connected the Treviso plain to Valdobbiadene. It was there, in 1979, that Floriano Curto founded his company. Today Ponte Vecchio indicates the place where the first wooden bridge was built to cross the Piave river, started in 1871 and then completed during 1876. Unfortunately, at the end of the 19th century, the bridge was repeatedly destroyed by the frequent floods of the Piave and was then permanently demolished in 1912.

In 1911, however, another large stone bridge was inaugurated, which unfortunately had a short lifespan because it was undermined by Italian soldiers, who retreated after the defeat of Caporetto in &' October 1917, who wanted to destroy it to prevent the Austrians from crossing the defensive line attested on the Piave line. As soon as you cross the river you will then find L&' Ponte Vecchio Farm, located in a very particular and suggestive territory precisely because of the beauty of its rural landscape but also rich in history and traditions.
