Prosper Delord was a traveling distiller and cellar master, and in 1893 he began his adventure in the world of spirits as he moved from farm to farm with his still. The aim was to transform white wine into Armagnac, a prized and sought-after spirit. In 2001, Prosper's great-grandson, Jaques, along with his children, entered into a collaboration with the Duffau family. One family took care of selecting and blending the product, while the other handled promotion.

Marie Duffau was the wife of a well-known distiller who started his business as a traveling vendor back in 1875, and had the honor of having a personalized label. Marie Duffau offers a range of blends and vintages from 3 to over 30 years, as well as vintages from 1960 to the present day. The Armagnacs are refined distillates, and the older they are, the more they express refinement and finesse, making them ideal for tasting with a cigar, a chocolate dessert, or an Arabica coffee.
