Andrini: historian in a historic place for traditions

Among

the curiosities of the place where Andrini Marmellate produces, we can mention the presence of an ancient medieval village, where you can admire the ancient walls, churches and stone houses. The area is also famous for the production of cured meats, cheeses and fine wines, which represent the gastronomic heritage of the Lombardy region. Andrini Marmellate is therefore part of an ancient and precious culinary tradition, which values local products and craftsmanship.

Quince: l&' ancient, artisanal by tradition

Among the specialties produced by &' company, c&' is the cotognata

,

an ancient and particularly valuable product.

Quince is a thick and fragrant jam, obtained by cooking the pulp of quince with sugar. This preserve is very popular in Italy, especially in Lombardy, where it is traditionally served as a dessert accompanied by seasoned cheeses or as an ingredient for preparing typical desserts such as the cotton tart. The quince produced by Andrini Marmellate is made with high quality quinces, coming from local crops.

And then, the packages in wooden sheeting

Who among

us has not seen “that” package of the quince at least once?
When we revised it, it is a living memory in at least some of the members of the Spaghetti & Mandolino team, we had no doubts: we must have had it among the producers also because of the historical nature of its packages. In fact, l&' the company still uses blown glass jars and leafy wooden jars, recovered from ancient traditions in the area. These wooden packages, in particular, are highly appreciated for their aesthetic beauty and for their ability to preserve the freshness of the products
