The Saffron Lingot by Matteo Bertoli is an interesting innovative solution that allows you to grate saffron directly onto your culinary creations.
It is made of very fine high-quality saffron ground finely and mixed with melted vegetable cocoa butter. Once poured into molds and tempered, it takes the shape of a lingot.
The saffron used comes from Matteo Bertoli's plantations in Travagliato or from selected Italian suppliers. No chemical products are used in the cultivation of the saffron utilized.
The cocoa butter, on the other hand, is the precious fat contained in cocoa beans and comes only from ethical and sustainable plantations. Cocoa butter has been chosen as an ingredient because it gives creaminess and brightness and is completely neutral, so it does not overpower the intense flavor of saffron.
