Villa Medici is a winery located in the Morenic Hills of Garda in the town of Custoza.
A historically significant area for vineyards, particularly for white grape varieties. The land consists of a mixture of clay, gravel, and limestone in schist. This area has a very particular microclimate, ideal for grape cultivation. Grapes such as Trebbiano, Cortese, Incrocio Manzoni, and Garganega thrive here in a ventilated and mild environment perfect for producing quality wines.
Villa Medici has been a family-owned estate of the Caprara family for over a century. Its name comes from the beautiful late 18th-century Medici villa. Today, Luigi and his wife Paola manage the 30 hectares of property, producing the classic wines of the area, Custoza and Bardolino. Special attention is given to their highly appealing and charming passito wines, among the best in the denomination.
