Grandpa Andrea was born in the early nineties in Villorba, a town in the Treviso plain located between the gentle hills of Montello and the mighty, stony Piave River. This farm is run by the Manzan family and operates in full biodiversity and organic practices, standing out for its meticulous approach to safeguarding the environment as a whole, giving life to strictly farm-made, genuine, and high-quality products. Over 60 hectares of land in the Treviso plain, cultivated with passion, constantly in search of excellence, in harmony with the ecosystem.
Grandpa Andrea: a diverse company that cares for the land, but also for the table
The Manzan family operates proudly and determinedly following some important values, such as the protection of the environment as a whole. That's why there is active recycling in the company, waste is kept to a minimum, energy is produced through photovoltaic panels, and there is great attention to ensuring that packaging and containers are made from recyclable materials.
The Manzan family cultivates their land following ancient wisdom, challenging the stony soils that make irrigation difficult but that provide mineral properties to the crops, making them particularly flavorful. They work in harmony with the remarkable variety of living species that inhabit their natural ecosystem, taking care of it every day.
They follow their passion for nature, for a healthy environment, and for authentic flavors: fruits and vegetables are certified "Biodiversity Friend", ensuring that the crops grow in a highly natural environment.
Among the crops: Red Radicchio of Treviso PGI, Variegated Radicchio of Castelfranco PGI, white and green asparagus, borlotti beans, green beans, cherries, strawberries, zucchini, cucumbers, cabbages, tomatoes, barley, pumpkins; there are also ancient fruits and grains for essential crop rotation, vineyards, lavender hedges, aromatic roses, and naturally bees, essential allies that produce exquisite organic honey.
Nonno Andrea was born in Villorba, a town in the Treviso plain, and today produces pickles, creams and compotes using farm-made and ORGANIC methods. Here is our interview!
