Characteristics

The Rosso di Luna Valcalepio DOC is one of the flagship products of the Monzio Compagnoni winery. Its composition is: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot. Its alcohol content is 13.5% vol.

The Rosso di Luna Valcalepio DOC in a 750ml bottle is excellent with all important dishes based on red meats and wild game; also with hard and flavorful cheeses.

Tasting

The color is dense garnet red with a purple-hued rim. The aroma is varied, deep, with notes ranging from fruity like cherry and plum to balsamic like eucalyptus. The taste: remarkable concentration with very warm notes from the alcohol that do not disturb at all, combined with ripe red fruits like plum and sensations of after eight in the finish. The optimal serving temperature is around 18 degrees.
