Natalina Grandi: scopri i prodotti

Natalina Grandi is a family business that has been producing wine out of passion for several generations. Their property includes about five hectares of land cultivated with vines, both in the plains and in the hills, in the town of Monti di Mezzo, one of the best areas of Gambellara, where the vineyards enjoy sunlight throughout the day. The focal point of the &' company is the quality of the wine, which is achieved starting from low production in the vineyard, from the harvest of grapes only by hand, from years of experience and from the use of technology, such as the nitrogen system in the cellar. The quality is maintained also thanks to the limited number of bottles produced, or about 15000 per year, at an excellent quality-price ratio. This quality is constantly recognized through the prizes of the Gambellara Consortium competitions and by some national and local guides. The most awarded wines are Gambellara Classico and Recioto di Gambellara Classico.

The Natalina Grandi winery has been awarded by the Gambero Rosso guide, in the Berebene Lowcost magazine, as the best quality-price ratio; it has been mentioned by Espresso Vini and by the guide Ristoranti Che Passione.

Natalina Grandi and the production of Gambellara's recioto

Natalina Grandi is among the very few companies to produce Recioto di Gambellara Classico, obtained precisely with the classic or champenoise method, which consists of a refermentation of bottled wine. The Grandi Natalina Farm leaves Recioto in the bottle for at least 18 months to rest with the yeasts. For most of this period, the bottles are placed in a horizontal position, while the last few months the bottles are placed with their necks down inside special hexagonal baskets. They allow the bottles to rotate daily, so the yeasts that form during refermentation a little at a time settle on the cork. At the end of this period, the bottles are ready for disgorgement or disgorgement: to remove the yeasts, the neck of the bottle is inserted into a very low temperature solution, which causes l&' instant freezing of the part with the yeasts. When the cap is removed, the frozen part is automatically ejected thanks to the pressure exerted by carbon dioxide. After this phase, the dosage is carried out, that is, the wine is refilled with the liqueur d&' expédition and the bottle is covered with the characteristic cork, which according to company regulations must be satin and not mushroom. After a few months in the bottle, Recioto may be ready for sale.

In special vintages, Natalina Grandi produces Recioto di Gambellara Classico Riserva with the same process
