We are located in Bovolone, in the lower part of Verona, land of Carnaroli and Vialone Nano: both of these rice varieties are carefully and expertly cultivated by the Piccolboni family, who have been dedicated for generations to creating high-quality products for rice lovers – even for those who prefer it ready-to-eat!
The flagship product of this dynamic company, attentive to consumer needs, is indeed the risottini, packaged to be easy and quick to serve. We thus find risottini with red chard, Custoza broccoli, pumpkin, and many varieties of herb risottos, unique and inimitable.
Beyond the raw material: the cookies and rice cakes from Terre del Bosco
Rice, as we know, can be used to create delicious first courses and elaborate combinations of tastes and flavors. However, rice consumption is not limited to lunch and dinner, but can really extend to every moment of the day: a healthy breakfast where you enjoy some PiccolBoni cookies made with rice and almonds, for example, or an afternoon snack with rice cakes and a topping of your choice.
Moreover, with the fruit risottos from Terre del Bosco, it is almost natural to prepare sweet creams to present as delightful desserts, whether you prefer berries, raspberries, or want to use white rice with milk and sugar to creatively prepare an alternative of your choice.
The recipes from Terre del Bosco
Rice is, above all, a versatile product, never boring or trivial: it is no surprise that it is infused with warm shades, flavors of speck, mushrooms, or saffron, consumed hot in the cold seasons and chilled in the summer. However, Terre del Bosco is not only synonymous with excellent rice, respect for the environment, tradition, and care in the packaging of a unique product; it is also synonymous with biodiversity, as within the company’s range of offerings, there are also polentine, made from corn flour and a touch of creativity.
Available in autumn, the 150g polentine can be paired with meat or serve as a unique dish, depending on habits or the inspiration of the moment. They will be ready in just 5 minutes!
The biographies of Terre del Bosco
With the experience inherited from his grandfather and father, as well as a successfully completed hospitality degree in 2009, Mattia Piccolboni has been running the family business since 2010, continuing to innovate the preparations and always adding new ones: to date, the produced flavors have indeed exceeded twenty, spreading well beyond the borders of Veneto.
With the important aim of protecting biodiversity, among the company's crops are also Venere rice and red Ermes rice, delicious alternatives that are also appreciated. Finally, speaking of protection, it is worth mentioning the historic piles dating back to the 1600s that the company preserves and shows to visitors as a testament to a slow and respectful processing of the small grains of this extraordinary cereal.
