Jako Wine is a winery that has its roots in passion and love for wine. A passion that started from a wine tasted exclusively among friends, eventually leading to a product shared with the best connoisseurs in Italy and abroad.

Jako Wine: originality and innovation

Jako Wine is a project that was born in 2015 from an idea by Gianluca Berti, a Bologna-based entrepreneur active in the transport and logistics sector, well supported by Severino Barzan, former owner of Antica Bottega del Vino in Verona, consultant for various global wine realities.
An eclectic personality, especially renowned in France, where the Revue du Vin in 1998 honored him as "man of the year" despite his Italian citizenship. Completing the team are Prof. Valenti for the agronomic aspect and young winemaker Lorenzo Dionisi.

The research conducted by the experts at Jako Wine has led to identifying the best terroirs, where the best grapes are found. From soil preparation to vineyard management and hand harvesting, everything is managed with a logic of manic perfection. The final result is a product of great quality.

They start with the wine, or rather the idea of the wine to propose to the market, in search of the perfect vineyard with an associated winery to manage on a rental basis under the strict supervision of the company’s technicians at every stage of the production process.

They begin with Oltrepò Pavese, thus focusing on the best Italian Pinot Noir for the production of classic method sparkling wines, alongside Veneto for the production of native and international grapes, with the supervision of Prof. Valenti for a total production of around 20,000 bottles.

Jako Wine: wines from the best Terroirs

The best Terroirs, where the best grapes are found, identified by Jako Wine are:

Oltrepò Pavese: a hilly area of unspoiled beauty, with clay-limestone soil whose microelements have contributed for centuries to the cultivation of the best vines; a quality testified since pre-Roman times by the writings of Pliny, Strabo, and Virgil.
Located in Lombardy, it owes its name to the peculiarity of being situated south of the Po River, in the heart of the Northern Apennines.
An area of great traditions and culture, between sea, Apennines, and plains, it produces alone more than 70% of D.O.C. wines.

Valpolicella: represents one of the most prestigious areas of the Italian wine scene.
The name itself derives from "val polis cellae" - "the valley of many cellars", confirming a flourishing winemaking activity since ancient times.
It is located north of Verona, bordering Lake Garda and is protected to the north by the Monti Lessini. The enchanting hilly landscape is dominated almost everywhere by vineyards. The unique characteristics of the terroir are the basis of the extraordinary typicity of its wines.

Province of Verona: land of ancient winemaking traditions. Here, over the centuries, they have managed to safeguard native grape varieties, ensuring an unchanging excellence of the produced wines.
Rich and varied terroirs derived from glacial deposits give the vines unique features and sensory characteristics. The production area is a few kilometers south of Lake Garda, a region with a mild climate, cradle of unique and varied illustrious viticulture.

Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOGC: The highest expression of prosecco comes from the DOCG that includes 15 historical hilly municipalities between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. This territory, of breathtaking beauty, is characterized by a unique cultural landscape. It is the fruit of manual labor that defines a viticulture labeled as “heroic”, from which an ancient sparkling tradition has derived since 1876.
