Cantine Dei: scopri i prodotti

Cantine Dei is a wine company that protects and promotes the territory with total respect for the environment, allowing you to taste balanced wines that express the characteristics of the Terroir.

Cantine Dei: strong historical roots with an innovative vision

Cantina Dei was founded in 1964 when Alibrando Dei purchased the land in Bossona, in the Montepulciano area, in Siena, where it planted its first vineyard. The soils immediately reveal ideal characteristics for the production of great red wines.

In the '70s, the Dei family expanded the #39 business, also acquiring the land in Martiena.
The first bottle of Nobile di Montepulciano red wine arrived in 1985, a year of exceptional harvest. L&' Azienda Dei continues to manage the winery, combining wisdom and ancient winemaking traditions with modernity and innovation.

The winery has always been able to renew itself, while remaining strongly anchored in its roots and deep respect for the territory; it manages the vineyard carefully, working each vineyard with organic fertilizers, using natural fermentation and indigenous yeasts.

For Cantine Dei, wine is a heritage that, like the territory, must be protected. In fact, the peculiarities of the Terroir are enhanced to produce a balanced and quality wine.

The mission of the Cantine Dei company is to protect and promote the territory with total respect for the environment. Trying to understand the history and culture that it takes to produce a bottle of wine with the unique characteristics of Vino Nobile: this is a way to appreciate the Montepulciano region

Cantine Dei wines: balanced and quality wines

The Cantine Dei company uses native Tuscan grapes such as Sangiovese, the basic grape variety of the Chianti area, combining it with Canaiolo Nero, a &' grape that gives softness to red wine. Among the international grape varieties, fruity grapes such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are planted. With these assumptions, the famous Nobile di Montepulciano Bossona red wine was born.

L&' the company also produces a fresh white wine with a mineral aftertaste, Martene. From &' union of Sangiovese with Merlot and Sauvignon, the Sancta Catharina blend is born, with final notes of chocolate and spices.

The method of managing the vineyard is that of zoning: going to work on each individual vineyard so that each individual wine identifies with its vineyard of origin.

Cantine Dei takes care of each vineyard with wise passion, accompanying the grapes in their natural maturation cycle. After selecting the bunches, remaining below the values per hectare set by the regulations, different and specific vinifications take place to enhance Sangiovese and to produce a balanced wine that expresses the characteristics of the terroir.

Cantine Dei, thanks to this careful and meticulous processing, allows you to enjoy excellent Montepulciano DOCG and Toscana IGT: wines awarded and recognized also with The Wine Hunter Awards.
