Le Guaite di Noemi: scopri i prodotti

The story of the farm Le Guaite di Noemi is a family story and a tale of passion, tradition, and love for the territory of Valpolicella, where nature is the protagonist. Imagine the ripe grape clusters under the sun, the smell of fermenting must, the religious silence that reigns inside the barrel cellar… this is where we are, immersed in the great winemaking tradition of the famous Veronese valley.

Le Guaite di Noemi: a family story from Valpolicella

The story of the company is told by Noemi Pizzighella, who has been at the helm of the business for over fifteen years thanks to her immense and inexhaustible love for the land and its fruits. It all began in 1987, when Stefano Pizzighella decided to purchase a small oil mill to start producing oil, utilizing some family-owned olive groves located on the hills of the small municipality of Mezzane di Sotto. After a few years, the family continued to invest in the territory and planted vines on the highest part of the hills, called Le Guaite.
In 2002, when the vineyards finally began to be productive, the company seized the right opportunity to start the vinification of the typical wines of Valpolicella, wines rich in history, aromas, and tradition, with incalculable value.

Just 10 minutes north of Verona, nestled between Lessinia and Lake Garda, you enter the enchanted world of Valpolicella, a territory that can be described as magical, almost mystical, and which has been the stage for the most beautiful love story ever told: that between man and vine since the 5th century BC. To this day, Valpolicella has gifted Italian winemaking tradition several noteworthy examples: wines such as Recioto, Valpolicella Superiore, Valpolicella Ripasso, and the noble Amarone are considered unique for their elegance and intensity, while always remaining true to tradition and managing to stand out from the crowd.

From the beginning, the Le Guaite farm has come a long way, thanks also to the love for the land of Valpolicella and its fruits that has never ceased to grow, with the aim of projecting the territory's wines into the international panorama.

The vineyards of Le Guaite di Noemi

The vineyards of the Le Guaite farm are located on the hills of Mezzane di Sotto, where the small but efficient family winery and oil mill are situated, always open and ready to welcome curious passersby and enthusiasts of authentic flavors and tradition, so as to show them what the land and the family's passion can create.

The wines of Le Guaite di Noemi

Le Guaite di Noemi offers noteworthy wines, such as the Amarone della Valpolicella or the Tano. These are traditional wines with an intense color, rich in fragrant nuances, and a soft, seductive, savory, and fresh taste. The wines of Le Guaite di Noemi are perfect to pair with many foods such as meat, aged cheeses, and game.
Such rich wines can only be made possible thanks to the calcareous and iron-rich soil of Valpolicella, containing minerals, olivine, pyroxene, and volcanic soil.
The harvest begins around mid-September, allowing the grapes to be crushed and left to cryomacerate and ferment at controlled temperatures with cultivated yeasts. The wine is aged for a long time, just as tradition dictates, making each bottle a unique piece.
