Puglia: the region of a thousand flavors. This land is characterized by many typical products, a result of a tradition that has been going on for centuries. Among the most famous dishes and products originating from this territory, there is certainly the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, also called Puglian green gold, which is part of the Italian cultural heritage. This very ancient food is the protagonist of a dream: in the heart of the Tavoliere delle Puglie, in 1987, the oil mill Le Fascine was born.
The history and development of an excellence: Le Fascine
In San Severo, a municipality in the province of Foggia, Michele was born in the 1930s. His family has always devoted their energies to the production of wine and oil, and he, immersed in this passion since childhood, has the desire to make the Provenzale Extra Virgin Olive Oil known to the world. In 1985, his dream began to take shape and with commitment, work, sacrifices, and dedication, he founded Le Fascine and worked to create a label that could be recognized all over the world for its quality and excellence.
However, there is no lack of competition, which puts him up against a harsh reality. Despite the difficulties encountered over the years, he ultimately succeeds in his aim, and today his children, following their father's example, continue to produce Le Fascine Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Frantoio Le Fascine: a dream become reality
The mill is based on the union of the most modern equipment with the mastery of traditional agricultural systems: tradition and innovation accompanied by a strict production protocol. In fact, there are three key points that characterize the production method of Le Fascine: harvesting from the tree, transformation within 24 hours, and cold extraction. The family-run farm covers 153 hectares of land and has 22,577 olive trees, of which 12,350 are centuries-old. These are just a few of the figures that testify to the greatness and impressiveness of the Le Fascine mill. There are also certifications that attest to the quality of the company, such as the Organic Certification issued by the control body Suolo e Salute since 2004.
The particular attention to foreign markets, which is part of the desire to make their product known to the world, allows Le Fascine to be a brand in continuous expansion, counting its major clients abroad, particularly in Germany, England, Austria, and the United States.
