Lenti since 1935. Purely cooked for pure pleasure

The history of Lenti, which began over 80 years ago, is made of commitment, innovation, and passion for the production of quality cooked hams. In the heyday of the Belle Époque, on the banks of the Po River, Attilio Lenti, the founder of the company, was born. At just 9 years old, he followed his calling, becoming an apprentice butcher.

In 1935, Attilio Lenti founded the first plant in Turin for the production of cooked hams. He exclusively acquired the Beisser patent from Germany, an innovative system for endoarterial salting: a new way to flavor hams using all-natural aromas.

With the development of the business, the new facility in Santena was built, where cutting-edge technologies converge with consolidated production sensitivity, always under the careful management of the Lenti family.

The 1950s saw the evolution of production methods with the introduction of the first aluminum mold for cooked hams, followed a few years later by another innovation: vacuum packaging that allows for better preservation of cooked hams.

The careful selection focuses both on choosing the farms, slaughterhouses, and origins, but also on selecting the ideal raw materials for each product.

Lenti requires careful evaluation of the characteristics of the meat for each recipe and for each cooking method. An advanced and rigorous control system, as genuineness and safety are essential values.

The main ingredients for carrying out the work are passion, tradition, and specialization. Experts in cooking meats: not only cooked ham but also roasts of beef, pork, turkey, and chicken. Cooking requires great savoir-faire, a craft that the Lenti family has passed down through generations.

All Lenti products are gluten-free and are licensed under the Spiga Barrata mark granted by the Italian Celiac Association. The Spiga Barrata is a symbol of immediate identification and extreme reassurance for celiac consumers.

Lenti's cooked hams and roasts have been certified by the third-party certification body SGS Italy for the following parameters: absence of lactose and caseinates and the use of NON-GMO ingredients (corn, soy, and derivatives).
