The Debbene Dairy was founded in the heart of Sardinia, on the Campeda plateau, in the municipality of Macomer in the province of Nuoro.
Managed with passion and dedication by Gianfranco and Salvatore Bussu, the dairy is synonymous with quality and tradition.
Gianfranco and Salvatore are not only producers of excellent cheeses but also experienced shepherds. Their commitment is reflected in the strictly organic management of their farm. With a herd of 1800 Sardinian sheep, raised in the wild over about 200 hectares of pasture, they guarantee a natural and healthy environment for their animals.
The sheep's diet is enriched only with organic forage produced directly on the farm, without the use of chemical fertilizers. Additionally, the animals are never treated with antibiotics or synthetic products, ensuring pure and natural milk.
The Debbene cheeses are a true treasure of Sardinian dairy tradition, produced exclusively with milk from the sheep raised on the farm. The rennet used for coagulation is also obtained from Sardinian lambs, thus maintaining a closed and sustainable production cycle.
