Viola - Bontà in Barattolo, was born from the idea of enhancing ancient recipes of Italian tradition. It represents the famous intertwining of values of the past and services, dynamism of the present. Lidia Sbarra feels the need to rediscover smells, flavors, and processes of the past. Fundamental traditions of the family in which she grew up, in Matese, who has always had the fortune to know, observe and taste, until falling in love with it. Evidently, these traditions, so strong, are part of her, her brother Roberto, Vincenzo, and anyone who has had the good fortune to taste the flavors of the Italian land, produced with the artisanal techniques of the past that we are, increasingly, neglecting. This is where the first jar Viola of sliced eggplants in oil was born.
The Insight
From this need, in 2022, Lidia with the support of Roberto and Vincenzo decided to found a young start-up where the focus is to allow everyone to discover or rediscover the Italian tradition based on the importance of flavors of the past, the taste of genuine products of the land and the love for good food. In the craft laboratory of Viola, jars are prepared using artisanal processing techniques from the past, with few raw materials but carefully selected and of high quality, 100% Italian, sourced from selected suppliers and producers.
Proposal
Vegetable preserves in extra virgin olive oil, simpleand ancient, good and nutritious products that aim to highlight the recipe and the flavor. The goal remains the promotion of Made in Italy, of youth entrepreneurship with the historical values of the past. Laboratory and Art
In the laboratory, every phase is carefully attended to: selectionof the raw materials of the highest quality, cuttingof the vegetables to perfection, choiceof the fabrics, applicationof the labels and sealing of the jars. The names of the jars are not random but are chosen by drawing inspiration from the natural colors of the vegetables, looking for a person's name that could, in some way, reflect them. Viola Eggplant, Jade Zucchini, Amber Pumpkin, Red Tiziano Tomato.
