Superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives and solely through mechanical processes.

Campiano is a charming village located at the top of the narrow and wild Tramigna Valley. A territory that offers great wines from the eastern Valpolicella area and excellent soils for the native Grignano olives. Among the houses of this village stands an ancient beautiful farmhouse owned by the Bacco - Vicentini family. Continuing along a dirt road that seems to touch the sky, one arrives at a beautiful cherry orchard and then at an olive grove maintained as if it were a garden. It is the third passion of Agostino, after his beloved Teresa and the Garganega. Here, Agostino together with his son Emanuele manages the Grignano olives, an ancient cultivar rich in history. Characteristic oils, rich in polyphenols with a very high-quality unsaponifiable fraction. The harvesting is done by hand and the crushing with modern systems and continuous technology in the absence of oxygen to avoid any loss of the oil's value. Agostino is proud of it, and we present it to you as a very rare delicacy. Just think that this oil is the entrée for all the customers who arrive at the prestigious Terrazza del Danieli in Venice, the three-Michelin-star restaurant of Chef Giannicola Colucci. Agostino Vicentini entered the productive world of wine with great humility and sacrifice, but today he is recognized by all the greatest international experts as one of the purest and most genuine interpreters of his territory and the Soave denomination. A winemaker through and through, he is hard to uproot from his land. Supported by the love of a woman who bears the surname Bacco, it seems that everything was destined for Agostino. His Soave wines are now featured on the most important tables worldwide, especially in those of great Michelin-starred chefs in mythical locations. But Agostino still speaks dialect and struggles to talk in front of a camera. He loves his land and knows all his vineyards by name. Garganega is the grape with which he has written his success, and his two Soave Terre Lunghe and Il Casale have become a must. The winery is located in San Zeno di Colognola ai Colli in the Illasi Valley (VR). The vineyards are divided between Colognola ai Colli and Campiano, a charming village at the end of the Tramigna Valley where the vineyards for Valpolicella wines dominate. Today, the business is increasingly managed by his children Francesca and Emanuele. But Agostino's rebellious spirit and perfectionism remain the common thread of the entire production.

Campiano 2014 Agostino Vicentini extra virgin olive oil: use in the kitchen

It is a fragrant oil (even this year, despite being a difficult harvest, because it is in a very windy area and therefore without natural stagnation of humidity on the fruits). Aromatic herbs, fresh olives, green tomato leaves, artichoke, and green apple. An oil that has a beautiful smoothness on the palate, balanced with a bitter-amandole finish and a nice astringency, with a straightforward but pleasant spiciness. Great oil for vegetable purées, for sourdough focaccia, for raw fish, on Mediterranean blue fish, on steamed sea fish or salt crusted. Also ideal for accompanying simple tomato and basil pasta dishes or to garnish white meats in salads. We also recommend it just: take a teaspoon every morning, it has many antioxidant properties that are beneficial and help you feel more serene and healthy throughout the day.
