The base oil is extra virgin and of Italian origin. The aroma is warmed in the oil to about 40 - 60 degrees for a few minutes in order to extract only the essential oils and not destroy the integrity of the scents of the oil.
The Truffle comes from Tuscany and Umbria from Black Summer Truffle. Excellent for dressing pasta and for roasting white meats. To be gently melted on slices of red meat and on baked potatoes or for delicate risottos with porcini mushrooms.
