Trani is an ancient city in the westernmost part of Puglia. A magnificent location by the sea with one of the most beautiful ancient Romanesque churches. Trani is famous for its white marble and its sweet wine made from Moscato grapes. It also holds the most significant tradition in Puglia regarding the production of the delicious fiordilatte, the cow's milk mozzarella that is sometimes also braided into their typical shape. A fresh milk sensation that lasts much longer and a freshness that extends during maturation. Excellent for salads, for appetizers, for bruschetta or 'frise' as the ancient tradition of Trani suggests. Great on its own with a drizzle of quality extra virgin olive oil. Perfect for flavorful pizzas and fillings for homemade bread.
