The only certainty is that the Baci di Dama reach their highest expression in the city of Tortona in the province of Alessandria, where they would boast the honors of this delicate cookie.

The traditional dough for Baci di Dama involves the processing of hazelnuts, almonds, wheat flour, sugar, and butter. It is then shaped into small spherical pieces and baked in the oven. Once cooled, the obtained balls are paired together with a drop of chocolate, taking on the appearance of the lips of a "Lady". Excellent when paired with sweet white and red grape wines.
