The Sbrisolona is a delicious cake typical of Mantuan pastry. Originally humble, it was made with corn flour and lard, and later it was enriched with almonds and natural aromas.
The Panificio Stella is a prestigious establishment of Venetian pastry. In this product, called Sbrisolotta, it features the typical cake loved by the Gonzagas of Mantua, which has become the sweet icon of the city. The name changes but everything else remains with lots of toasted almonds and crumbled corn flour.
