The Monte Veronese DOP d'Allevo / 25-36 months of Malga Slow Food Presidium is a sublime, rare, exciting cheese. It has a deep yellow color, semi-cooked pasta, and a thick rind, produced only with milk from grazing cattle. Its flavor is strong and persistent, not to be forgotten.
We are talking about a Slow Food Presidium: the production of Monte Veronese DOP of the Presidium is linked to the herds' ascent to the pasture in the Lessinia area, and therefore, it must take place from around the end of May until September. This cheese is one of the most important among those produced in the mountains in the Italian gastronomic scene.

The Monte Veronese DOP d'Allevo / 25-36 months from Malga Slow Food Presidio (which we present here in a 1kg portion) is an amazing cheese to enjoy on its own at the end of a meal, accompanied by a good intense red wine, such as an Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG.
It pairs very well with chestnut honey, but also with other cheeses on a nice cheese board, alongside walnuts, pears, and eggs. It's also great to use as an ingredient for cooking polenta and rustic cakes. Perfect for a classic and traditional recipe from the malghe, namely the fondue of Monte Veronese dop with truffle, which brings together two of the most popular and appreciated products from Lessinia.
