The Iron Cup Pumpkin BIO that we offer comes from a selection of products from the land of the Verona plains. River lands rich in silt and sand that give a particular aroma and firmness, along with a good richness in minerals.
With a dark green color, the Iron Cup pumpkin is quite similar to the Delica pumpkin but slightly heavier and with a later cycle. This type of pumpkin is a bit ribbed and mottled, a late hybrid of American origin. It has a nearly round shape and is slightly flattened at the poles. The orange flesh is sweet, very pleasant to the taste and suitable for many preparations in the kitchen.
In the kitchen, the Iron Cup Pumpkin is very versatile: great fried and in sweet and sour, it is also ideal as a filling for tortelli, and it cooks quickly in the oven.
Perfect for risottos, stewed in cubes on a bed of onion or cut into wedges and baked in the oven.
The fruit keeps for a long time and is extremely resistant to low temperatures.
