The Iron Cup Pumpkin BIO that we offer comes from a selection of products from the plains of Verona. Riverine soils rich in silt and sand give it a particular aroma and compactness, as well as a good richness in minerals.
With a dark green color, the Iron Cup Pumpkin is quite similar to the Delica pumpkin but slightly heavier and with a later growing cycle. This type of pumpkin is a bit ribbed and speckled, a late hybrid of American origin, with an almost round shape slightly flattened at the poles. The orange flesh is sweet, very pleasant in taste and suitable for many preparations in the kitchen.
In the kitchen, the Iron Cup Pumpkin is very versatile: excellent fried and in sweet and sour dishes, it is also ideal as a filling, and it cooks quickly in the oven.
Perfect for risottos, stewed in cubes on a base of onion or cut into wedges and baked.
The fruit keeps well for a long time and is extremely resistant to low temperatures.
