Abate di Belfiore Pears BIO 1kg
€ 4,99 for 1kg
The Abate Pear that we propose comes from a selection of products from the Verona plains, specifically from Belfiore. River lands rich in silt and sand that give it a special aroma and compactness and a good richness of minerals.
The Abate Pear is considered the queen of pears, for its very intense fragrance and sugary taste. Moreover, the one from Belfiore is a large-sized pear (it can weigh up to 200g) and has a characteristic flask-like shape.
Very juicy and sweet, the Belfiore Abate Pear is made up of 84% water and 9.8% sugars. Thanks to the characteristics of the land where it grows, the pear collects in its pulp many minerals: potassium, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, boron, fluorine, zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium. It is also very rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C, E, K, and J. It also contains beta-carotene, cryptoxanthin, lutein, and zeaxanthin, which are all powerful antioxidants.
The Abate di Belfiore Pear (which we offer in this 1kg package) is perfect to eat raw, but it is sublime as an accompaniment to cheese as an appetizer. It is also interesting in risottos.
An ideal ingredient for preparing excellent pear cakes and desserts in general because of its firm pulp. We invite you to also try a wonderful pairing on pizza: pear and sweet gorgonzola or French brie.
A delight you cannot imagine!
Storage: handle the pears with care to avoid damage or bruising and store at 0-2°C. Do not place the packaging on the floor.
