Abate di Belfiore Pears BIO 3kg
€ 12,36 for 3kg
The Abate Pear that we propose comes from a selection of products from the Verona plains, specifically from Belfiore. River lands rich in silt and sand that impart a unique flavor and firmness along with a good richness of minerals.
The Abate Pear is considered the queen of pears, due to its very intense aroma and sweet taste. The one from Belfiore is also a large pear (it can weigh up to 200g) and has a characteristic flask-like shape.
Very juicy and sweet, the Belfiore Abate Pear is composed of 84% water and 9.8% sugars. Thanks to the characteristics of the land in which it grows, the pear accumulates a great number of minerals in its flesh: potassium, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, boron, fluorine, zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium. Rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C, E, K, and J. It also contains beta-carotene, cryptoxanthin, lutein, and zeaxanthin, which are all powerful antioxidants.
The Abate di Belfiore pear (which we offer in this 3kg package) is perfect to eat raw, but it is sublime in pairing with cheeses as an appetizer.
Interesting in risottos. An ideal ingredient for making excellent pear tarts and sweets in general because of its firm flesh. We invite you to also try a wonderful pairing on pizza: pears and sweet gorgonzola or French brie.
A delight that you cannot imagine!
Storage: handle the pears carefully to avoid damage or bruising and store at 0-2°C. Do not place the packaging on the floor.
