The Morlacco is a typical cheese from the Veneto region, particularly from the alpine pastures of Monte Grappa.
This peak became famous for the heroic events of the Great War. Since the time of the Serenissima Republic, it had seen the settlement of Balkan peoples, shepherds, and woodcutters, who began to produce a simple cheese named after the region they came from: Morlachia.
It is a cheese made from semi-fat raw cow's milk and a rennet coagulation.
For this reason, its aroma is so intense and its texture particularly elastic with a consistent eye.
