Cimbro cheese aged with beer 200g

The Cimbri are a Germanic people who arrived from Bavaria around 1300 in Verona, in Veneto. Mostly herders and farmers, woodcutters, and simple sheep breeders.

At that time, Verona was governed by the Scaligeri, large owners of Brogne sheep that produced high-quality wool.

They asked Cangrande della Scala for help, and he was offered the chance to manage the herds in the Lessini mountains, which were uninhabited at that time, also governing the territory.

Even today, the stone pens built with the ancient Bavarian dovetail technique can be distinguished. With them, cheese production also began, which has remained a tradition in the preparation of Monte Veronese DOP.

A very appealing and unique cheese in its kind.

Cimbro cheese aged with beer 200g: use in the kitchen

The cheese has been in contact with the beer and has therefore absorbed all its precious creaminess and flavor.

By osmosis, the beer has gravitationally entered the cheese, and since it is a blonde beer, it has nonetheless slightly gilded the paste.
Moreover, it has made it very creamy and flavorful.

Enjoy it with sweet crunchy snacks that are particularly pleasant and enticing. Therefore, all the cheese is edible.

Tasting notes

Notes of hops and honey derived from the cereals that have fermented. In the end, the cheese was covered with the still wet residue after fermentation.
