Aliseo is the name of the "good" wind, in the sense that it usually brings nice weather. It couldn't be a more fitting name for this wine that is so pleasant, fresh, and fruity.
It is produced with 50% Biancolella, 40% Biancazita, and the remaining 10% Pepella. About 2400 bottles are produced, and it comes from vineyards that are around 70 years old, trained in traditional pergola and others that are younger, trained in guyot but always at an altitude of about 450 meters. The originating vineyards are: Contrada Cardamone and Casa de Rosa planted in 1920, Vigna Diana planted in 1929. Harvest usually takes place in mid-October, and the fermentation of the musts is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. It undergoes 4 months of aging in steel and 3 months in the bottle.
Aliseo is a wine of rare elegance with a delicate fruity complexity and iodized sensations of the sea. Mediterranean scrub with thyme and cardamom. Fresh sage and bay leaf. Fresh exotic sensations of pineapple and passion fruit.
On the palate, it is fresh and very savory, salty. Broad and persistent, it tends towards a smooth finish with a delicate sensation of sweet almond and yellow drupe. A breath of sea breeze between the leaves of the myrtle.
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
