The Organic Extra Cherry Jam "Serenella" is produced using visciole, a rare and very ancient variety of cherry that has grown spontaneously in the area since antiquity.
Visciole are a variety of wild sour cherries known for their intense flavor, which is not overly sweet, with an intriguing almond-like aftertaste that creates a lovely fresh and tart sensation.
The organic extra visciole jam from Podere Casella Muzighin is made exclusively using fruit with the addition of a small amount of organic cane sugar. To produce 100g of jam, 158g of fruit are used. The jam is made at low temperature to preserve the organoleptic and beneficial qualities of the visciola.
The name “Serenella” is a tribute to Serena Pizzoni, the wife of Serafino, the creator of the products offered by Podere Casella Muzighin.
