They can also be preserved in the refrigerator (for a maximum of 6 months) after a procedure called Novena or under sand for a maximum of 2 months.
Cooked chestnuts: preservation
Again, the longest and most reliable preservation method is the freezer. Once cooked, the chestnuts should be cleaned, allowed to cool, and then placed in airtight bags.
As you want to eat them, they can be defrosted and optionally reheated in the microwave, skillet, or stove.
