French Bordeaux, from the estate Chateau Dauzac, one of the largest in the Margaux appellation, on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.
The estate covers 49 hectares, with soil composed of gravel and clay.
Chateau Dauzac combines richness and precision, and the types of grapes used for production are 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. The harvest from the vines is destemmed and pressed before being poured into fermentation tanks made of stainless steel. Aging takes place for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels.
The Bordeaux region is located on the Atlantic coast on the left and right banks of the Gironde. With its 119,000 hectares and 60 appellations, the Bordeaux region represents the largest vineyard of the French AOC. Divided into five sub-regions, the region benefits from a temperate oceanic climate. Its soils are primarily clay-limestone, with sands and gravels found in the Graves region.
Chateau Dauzac Grand Cru Classé is a wine with an intense purple color leaning towards black. The aromas released are those of cassis, superb, and on the palate, there is a rare density. The finish of this wine is long and intense, consistent with the previously released scents. The wine is very pure and evokes fruity and floral aromas.
The Bordeaux Chateau Dauzac pairs wonderfully with porcini mushrooms, game, cooked ham or speck, dried vegetables, and greens. Furthermore, for meat lovers, it pairs excellently with red meats in sauce or grilled, but also with white meats. It is the ideal wine to enjoy with soft cheese or a strong and intense flavored dry cheese.
