The Leonatus Merlot Garda DOP by Perla del Garda pairs very well with Lombard and Venetian cold cuts, slightly smoked pancetta, and lardo aged with spices and aromatic herbs. It is pleasant with first courses based on meat sauces, grilled meat, and beef tagliata. It also pairs well with medium-aged cow's milk cheeses. It is worth trying with caciotte from the mountains and black pepper.
Clear straw yellow color. On the nose, the bouquet is pleasant with notes of both aromatic herbs and flowers. On the palate, it is fresh, with excellent drinkability, and a soft minerality.
