D'Antan Soldati La Scolca Brut Rosè Millesimato 2009

The D'Antan Soldati La Scolca Brut Rosé Millesimato 2009 from La Scolca is an intense wine, capable of providing unique sensations, produced using slow and traditional artisanal processing methods.

With the long bottle aging of about 10 years, in contact with selected indigenous yeasts, a wine is obtained that seems to have no age limits and discovers a great and always faithful ally over time. A product in which the surprising freshness accompanies the aromas of honey, spices, dried fruit, and a distant memory of chocolate, in a continuous crescendo of harmonies. A wine resulting from a particular and fortunate moment of nature, and from an infinite and patient work of man.

CLASSIFICATION: Quality Sparkling Wine Brut Rosé.
GRAPE VARIETY: Cortese with 3/5% Pinot Noir.
PRODUCTION AREA: hillside, in the production area of Gavi D.O.C.G.
CUVÉE: a rosé wine obtained from the vinification of white and black grapes with a short skin contact in the must.

Nutritional values

D'Antan Soldati La Scolca Brut Rosè Millesimato 2009: use in the kitchen

The D'Antan Soldati La Scolca Brut Rosè Millesimato 2009 by La Scolca is ideal as an aperitif and for important "full meal" lunches, highly suitable for post-lunch and for "meditation".

SHELF LIFE: to be consumed within two/three years from production (dégorgement).
SERVICE TEMPERATURE: 8 °C.
IMPORTANT NOTES: the sparkling wine reaches the optimal serving temperature after about two hours in the refrigerator. It is advisable not to extend this period beyond two/three days; a longer period may cause drying of the cork and consequently alter the product, leading to loss of pressure and taste anomalies.

Tasting

APPEARANCE: fine, soft, and abundant foam, minute and continuous perlage.
COLOR: pale light pink.
AROMA: slightly spicy, intense, and persistent. Notes of pastry, white chocolate. From an initial warm and amber impression, it moves to intense hints of exotic fruits, fading into honey and spices, in a soft and elegant complexity.
TASTE: respects the aroma, important, full, firm and fresh backbone; velvety texture that continues, refined by long aging on the lees; pleasantly tart, with a pleasant hint of almond. The finish is of rare beauty with hints of candied fruit.
