The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG BIO 2015 from the Casa Raia winery is a red wine produced exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, which are cultivated according to the principles of organic and natural agriculture, thus excluding the use of chemical products of any kind.
Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese
Aging: large casks
Characteristics: The Sangiovese Casa Raia sprouted during the first week of April and continued to grow regularly, taking advantage of the abundant water reserves left from 2014 and a more than good rainfall during the winter of 2015. The season continued with dry and sunny weather. In the first week of August, two significant rains relieved the plants and lowered the temperatures, allowing the vines to photosynthesize under the best conditions and to obtain perfectly ripe grapes. The vintage has been rated five stars by the Brunello Di Montalcino Wine Consortium.
