The Nobile di Montepulciano BIO DOCG 2017 from the winery Salcheto is a wine made from the Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile vineyards, one bottle per plant, it ferments in wood and ages for 18 months in large and small barrels, then refines for at least 6 months in glass.
The 2017 was a hotter and drier vintage than ever, and its wines turned out to be full-bodied but soft. The alcohol levels are significant but balanced, maintaining drinkability also thanks to the pedo-climate of Salcheto, which provides freshness to the wines with its clay soils and strong temperature fluctuations.
