The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Il Frantoio BIO from La Basentana is obtained exclusively from olives sourced from the organic farms of the Lucanian company in Calciano, in Matera.
Variety: Frantoio, Leccino, Majatica.
Collection and production methods: the olives, strictly hand-picked from the tree, are brought in perforated crates to the company’s mill, where they are milled within 4 hours of harvest.
The olives are destemmed and washed, then crushed under granite millstones, worked in a controlled atmosphere at 24° C, and extracted using a continuous cold method.
The obtained oil is stored in stainless steel tanks, filtered after natural decantation for a few days.
