The Pecorino Bagnolese scamosciato alle noci from Milk Coop is a true celebration of flavors and nutrients.
Let's start with the milk. The milk used to produce the nutty pecorino cheese comes from the Pecora Bagnolese, also known as Malvizza. The genuineness of the product is closely tied to this breed! The reason? Malvizza sheep are allowed to roam freely and feed on what nature offers them along the paths of the Irpinian pastures.
And the walnuts? They also come from the Irpinian cultivations. In fact, Milk Coop's fundamental priority is Km 0. In the true sense of the word!
Thanks to the delicate flavor of the walnuts and their beneficial properties, the cheese becomes even more special. An additional supply of proteins, calcium, polyunsaturated fats, and antioxidants gives the nutty pecorino a quantity of nutrients that are very good for health. And it's not just about well-being, but also about pleasure for the palate!
Aged for about 3 months, the nutty pecorino has a soft and moist texture with slight holes, contrasted by the crunchy note of the walnut.
The Milk Coop Cooperative uses exclusively the milk from the Bagnolese sheep for its pecorino cheese, while for dairy products it uses milk from cows... Go to the Milk Coop page
